, based in the vibrant inner city of suburb of Fitzroy (just a block from Brunswick St and Smith St, very accessible from public transport) is in its sixth year of operation.

Fitzroy Market is a market located in the grounds of the Fitzroy Primary School that has a well edited selection of clothes, books, shoes, bits and bobs as well as some delicious food vendors. There is definitely an element of "Fitzroy Cool" at the market, with a younger range of sellers with mostly second-hand clothes, sometimes vintage and sometimes labelled pieces which are all available for affordable prices ranging from $5 .

If you do get peckish during your visit, there are plenty of food vendors available from gourmet sausages to some really enticing cupcakes.

There are over 65 stalls to visit, most stallholders are outdoors under marquees and a handful of second-hand clothing stores located inside one of the buildings in case some bad weather. The market has a friendly 'vibe' with lots of interesting to see.
A gold coin donation is required for entry at the market so make sure you bring some loose change.
