Fine Art at Hale is celebrating their 25th Anniversary this July! Come along and join in the exciting festivities from Friday 28th July 2017!
A hugely popular showcase of emerging and celebrated Western Australian artistic talent, this year's exciting exhibition kicks off with a Cocktail Preview opening night on Friday 28th July 2017.
Come along and enjoy drinks and canapés amongst the stunning array of paintings, mixed media, jewellery, ceramics, sculpture and glasswork. Admire artwork by respected artists such as Trevor Vickers, Ian de Souza, Leon Pericles, Eveline Kotai and Tony Jones who will be exhibiting alongside innovative emerging artists. You can also peruse artwork by award-winning artists such as Bec Juniper, Andy Quilty and Mikaela Castledine.
The exhibition will be opened by Richard Goyder, AO, Wesfarmers Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the AFL Commission. Richard attended Hale School from 1974 to 77.
To applaud the hundreds of artists who have exhibited over the last 25 years, the Fine Art at Hale Committee is pleased to sponsor two prizes for outstanding artwork, with a share of $5000 for the winning artists. Exhibition goers can also vote for their favourite, with the winning artist of the People's Choice award receiving $500, kindly donated by MindLink Psychology.
There are more dazzling prizes, worth $3500, to be won in the Luxe Raffle this year with an exquisite Spirit of the Sea pendant and travel case, donated by Keiko Uno Jewellery, a stunning Gail Dell print, donated by Gail Dell and Ben Sherar Artist Framing Services, internationally acclaimed Leeuwin Estate Art Series fine wine, donated by the McKenna family and a beautiful ceramic vase created by Elaine Bradley. To go into the draw, purchase a $5 raffle ticket in Memorial Hall from Tuesday 25th July 2017. The Raffle will be drawn at 3pm on Sunday 30th July 2017. All proceeds from the exhibition and raffle support the Hale Art Community.
Experience firsthand how these proceeds can be used in an exciting and stimulating art project at the school. Hale Old Boy and professional street artist Hans Bruechle, will be painting a giant mural on a Middle School wall adjacent to Memorial Hall, throughout the exhibition period, so look out for Hans in action to watch the creation unfold.
Tickets to the Cocktail Preview on Friday 28th July 2017, 6.30pm to 9.00pm are priced $40 each and include drinks and canapés. Tickets can be purchased online by clicking here.
Please note that all art will be available for sale to ticket holders at the Cocktail Preview, prior to being available to the general public over the exhibition weekend, so to avoid missing out on your favourite artwork, please come along to the opening night.
Following the opening night, the exhibition will be open to the public on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th July 2017, 10am-4pm, entry by gold coin donation.
