Fiesta
It's only exaggerating a little to say that Latin dancing is sexier than sex. A truly talented samba dancer is one of the great wonders of the world. Unfortunately nothing I could find on the net does it justice, although it's still entertaining.
This weekend the Darling Harbour Fiesta will be providing a carnivale of latin music and dance over 4 days. Starting on Friday night at 6.30pm with fireworks, followed by some great bands and dancers including Club Havana and Chukale, Castanuelas, Argentinean Fabio Robles, the Celebrity Dancers and Groupo Capoeira Brasil.
Each night there will also be an opportunity to learn to Salsa on an alfresco dance floor at Palm Grove. Once you've got the moves down you can then show them off at Fiesta Nights each evening at Harbourside Aquashell.
On top of the dancing and music you'll also be able to chow down on some Latin American food from stalls in Tumbalong Park.
You can find the official Fiesta webpage here as well as the program of events.
Why? Shake your booty, it's good for you.
WHEN: Friday 3rd to Monday 6th October
WHERE: Darling Harbour
