If a picture paints a thousand words then you know that your children are going to have fun, fun and more fun these April school holidays when the extraordinary returns to delight children of all ages at Orphanage Park, Millswood on April 27th between 10am to 3pm.
Deck out your junior achievers in "never mind if it gets dirty clothes" and get ready to snap loads of memories as they squelch their way through oozing, mega mud, interactive nature play, cubby building (you know, building forts), clay based art making and geocaching (hide and seek with a GPS). Yes, I know, I had to look it up too.
Get ready for a day they'll talk about for weeks. Maybe you'll be washing out clothes for weeks, but as I used to say as a homeschool mum, " the more dirty they were, the more I knew that they had fun, were happy and learning healthy, outdoor skills."
The City of Unley in association with
Nature Play SA are bringing your family this sensory delight and celebration of mud in support of the vital work of Playground Ideas: a non profit, international organisation which helps local, marginalised communities to design and build playgrounds using local resources and skills to benefit the wellbeing of children everywhere.
Online registration is free but is required to help with numbers.. Your gold coin donation would be appreciated in support of this worthy cause.
You can relax with a BYO picnic, or savor delicious food and coffee from a variety of food trucks, as the children squish their way to fun and laughter. You can always put your feet up afterwards.
