Listen up peeps! There's a lot of chat out there about
prebiotics and
probiotics and
gut health and
ancient fermentation techniques and if you want to get to the bottom of it, this workshop is for you!
Buchi Kombucha the crew that bring you that great tasting and healthy beverage
Buchi Kombucha (a slightly tangy and very delicious fermented tea), host a number of fabulous fermentation workshops throughout the year and they're a totally fun and informative way to get a handle on all things fermentation.
This is a hands on experience
befriending bacteria and learning to support the
health of your gut and the workshops guide you through the basics such as:
what fermented foods are, and how they can assist you in overcoming some of the common ailments of modern day living:
fatigue, constipation, acid reflux, arthritis and
joint pain; and
the history of fermenting foods and the importance of getting this ancient tradition back into our everyday lives;
The last ones for this year are coming up on the
20th September ,
25th October , and
6th December , from
1pm - 5pm at their
Brewery in Wacol, they also hold them on the Gold Coast so see the

You will also go home armed with a barrage of fermentation techniques and recipes including ones for
kombucha, water and milk
kefir, beet
kvass, house
cheese,
sauerkraut, fruit and
nut ferments and
coconut yoghurt.
The workshops are brought to you by Buchi Kombucha and are presented by a handful of people with masses of credibility in the areas of health and healing foods.
Dr Sarah Lantz is a nutritionist, writer, mother, and author of the best-selling book
Chemical Free Kids: Raising Healthy Children . Sarah has a background in nutrition and environmental health and conducts the workshop, presenting information about gut health, and sharing the health benefits and techniques of everyday fermented foods and probiotics.
Jason Callender is the founder and brewmaster of the innovative green enterprise
Buchi Kombucha and will expand your bacterial horizons on all things cultured beveragy including
kombucha and
water kefir.
Josh and
Weier Higgs from
Raw Food Probiotics Kraut are also guest speakers and will be passing on time-old
fermenting techniques and tips for culturing vegetables and making authentic
