The hint is in the name, but these, traditional looking sushi bars, are a bit more inventive about sushi than you might expect. As well as classics like salmon and avocado maki, and crisp shiitake tempura, they do their own take on fish and chips, and offer sushi rolled with cream cheese and Japanese Thousand Island Dressing.
They also do udon noodle soups, fishcakes and salads.

As well as serving up some of the best sushi in London, Feng Sushi are also promoting better sushi for Londoners by creating a sushi school, which is on the premises of their Notting Hill Gate kitchen. There their head chef, Cheung Lee will teach you your maki from your hand rolls and how to cut fish correctly. Sushi school usually happens on Sundays between 10:30 and 4, but there are a couple of Saturday evening sessions. It's £150 to attend but you get to eat as you 'cook' and you take home your own creations which they say is enough food for four.
