Lakeside Park Raceway at Kurwongbah.
On Sunday 6th September 2015 at the
All Aussie Fathers , you too can become your own 'rev head' when the opportunity is open to all Australian built vehicles to partake in over three hours of cruising throughout the day and one-eighth mile drags on the main straight. Only Australian build vehicles or any make, model and modification are eligible to participate.
There will be a ten cruise sessions throughout the day with a maximum of 100 cars on the track at any time. Each cruise sessions will cost you $10 and you can choose to participate in as many of them as you like.
VIP packages are available at a cost of $60 pre-booked and $75 at the gate if not sold out prior to the event. The

VIP package provides entry for one person at the gate, your own covered pit bay and two exclusive VIP cruise sessions, infield and Show n' Shine entry. It is best to get in early for this package as they sell quickly. Entry forms for all events can be found on their website.
The Track Challenge or 1/8th Mile Drags costs $40 to enter and entries are limited to the first 40 received. You can pre-enter by phoning 1800 722 377 or take your chance on the day. The entry form for this event can be found on the website. Trophies are awarded for the first three fastest times as well as the best time overall and presentations for this event will be held fifteen minutes after the conclusion of the Track Challenge.
Strict rules accompany this event for your own safety. No passengers are allowed during this competitive event and all drivers must have a current driver's licence, be 18 years or older and a zero blood alcohol is essential. Other conditions are enclosed footwear, no static or foot-on burnouts, no crossing the centre line, a 10km /hour pit lane speed limit must be observed and all drivers must attend a briefing session. All vehicles must not exceed 95dB.

Visitors are encouraged to bring ear protection as this is obviously going to be a noisy event. A medical room and qualified first-aiders and doctors are on site during the event.
Whilst Lakeside Park does provide site cafes, visitors and competitors are welcome to bring food and beverages to the venue. Sensible behaviour is required at all times.
So if you have ever dropped the clutch, smoked 'em up or your first date was at the speedway track, then it's time to face the fact you're a rev head! Father's Day 6th September is 'revving' up to be a great family outing, especially for fathers and their children. Children 12 and under are free and face painting is available at no cost. Gates open at 7.30pm and close at 4.30pm.
