The enchanted fairy walk with an alien encounter

There are three main reasons that make Fairy Bowl Falls Walk the most popular bushwalking track in Morton National Park. One, it is categorised as easy to medium walk. Most part of the walk is on an established track with clear signs indicating toward the Fairy Bowl Fall. Second, it is an thirty minutes to two-hours return walk, so a good length for both a recreational walk and a power fitness walk. Third, that might be my reason, you would be surprised at what you might encounter on the track.

When we drove into the Morton National Park, there was a information board with a map of all different bushwalking tracks in Morton National Park, depending on your fitness level and time on hand, the length of the bushwalks could vary between 30 minutes to two days. We could see that there were two ways to take us down to the Fairy Bowl Falls - one track started from the southwest direction of the park, where you would walk about one hour to get down to the Falls. The other track was via the Fairy Bowl Falls car park, a shorter walk. But both two tracks would join at the Fairy Bowl Falls Lookout, which was located about 800 meters above the falls.

As we were all keen bushwalkers, we started our walk from the southwest part of the park, where you would see the sign" Fairy Bowl Track" on your left hand side and then we went back via the Fairy Bowl Falls car park, it was a good three-hour loop walk. It was so rewarding that after three one hours under the hot sun, we could refresh ourselves with the fresh and cool mountain water coming from the fall. If the bowl was deep enough, we could have a splash fun.

On our way back to the entrance of the Morton National Park, I was so surprised to spot an alien alike stone in its natural shape, just like the Big Grey from the sci-fi movies. I called out to the others to come and have a look, they all agreed that it was indeed like an spooky alien face, but we were curious as to why the Morton National Park hasn't given it enough exposure to the public. Maybe someday when we get back there, there might be a big sign sitting beside the stone with the words: "The Alien Encounter in Morton National Park" and everyone would go there to take pictures and then down the track, it will become the hot spot for all the alien lovers and curious visitors. I would hope so.

If you spend overnight at the Bundanoon, I would suggest you to visit the Glow Worm Glen during night time, the most popular tourist attractions in Bundanoon, which I am sure will add more enchanted moments to your day trip in this little village.
