Facebook I Spy

Published January 19th 2012
Just in case you're not already glued to Facebook every waking hour, here's a fun little game that makes a great time waster. You can play by yourself just for the fun of it, or challenge your friends to a game of Facebook I Spy.

Log onto your Facebook and navigate to your newsfeed. Using the list below, award yourself points based on your friends status updates. If you're playing a friend, the person with the most points wins the game.

Award yourself one point for:

Every copy and paste chain letter status (and an extra point if it ends with, "I know my real friends will be brave enough to repost." Take away points if you actually repost it.)

Every person who posts about housework, or what they had for breakfast

Each time someone uses the wrong they're/their/there, your/you're or to/too/two

Award yourself two points for:

Updates that call someone out without actually mentioning their name (you know the ones, "Don't you love it when someone borrows money and doesn't pay you back!" Extra point if they end with, "You know who you are.")

Any time a person refers to themselves in third person

Award yourself five points for:

A video that doesn't involve babies, animals, or cute baby animals

Any status that makes you lol

Award yourself ten points for:

Any time someone links to and posts an outrage comment about something on The Onion (or any other satirical website).

When you're done, tally up your points to get your score. You can come back later and try to beat that score – or, you could read a book or go outside or something. Up to you.
