Situated in the Lion Arts Centre, the
Experimental Art Foundation was established in 1974 by a group of local artists. It's main purpose is to create a space in which artists can exhibit and perform their works.
The exhibits include several different mediums such as multimedia, sculpture, painting and poetry. There is always something interesting happening at the foundation. You can listen to multimedia lectures, musical presentations and artist talks, which focus on challenges, experiences and latest works.
There is also a lovely bookshop within the centre which stocks many books relating to media, film and cinematography, art magazines and catalogues. The books are usually 10 percent cheaper than any other bookshops in Adelaide. The centre also has a huge archive of South Australian artwork covering some 40 years of relevant works.
