Event: 03/03/2012 - 04/02/2012

The Evolve Yoga Festival is again coming to Melbourne again and for the first time will span two full days.

On Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 March, Abbotsford Convent will become a haven for yoga-lovers as presenters from across the country and the globe converge to offer a diverse mix of yoga classes, workshops and seminars.

Whether you're an experienced or beginner yogi, or even just curious about this increasingly popular activity, you can immerse yourself in all things yoga. Take the opportunity to meet like-minded people, soak up the wisdom of experienced teachers and try something new.

Get physical in one (or many) of the classes on offer. With myriad different styles to try, you can experience dynamic hatha, kundalini, GITA, Satyananda and more. Why not give Tribal Dance or Laughter Yoga a try?

For a bit of quiet time, surrender yourself in a session devoted to Yoga Nidra or Shavasana or experience the healing sounds of a Gong Bath. There are also multiple sessions devoted to meditation, pranayama and yogic philosophy.

You can find the full program here and read more about the presenters here.

In addition to the scheduled sessions, don't forget to visit the Wellness Market for the latest products and to chat with representatives from various studios.

Entry to the festival is $39 online/$49 at the door for a single day pass, or $59 online/$79 at the door for a weekend pass. Note that online ticket sales close on 1 March at 4pm. You can buy your tickets online here. If you do buy your tickets at the door, make sure you have cash handy as there are no EFTPOS facilities.

Evolve is also looking for volunteers for the weekend. All volunteers get free entry – for more details, click here.

Don't forget your yoga mat and any other props you'd like to work with on the day (such as blocks, straps, towels). A bottle of water, comfortable clothing and shoes that are easy to slip on and off are essential.
