The Esplanade playground in Port Noarlunga South is a small playground, but it proves to be a fun spot for kids. Children will love the way the themed equipment fits in with the beach setting, and their imaginations can run wild.
The playground is aimed at children of all ages. The moveable balls and naughts and crosses will amuse small children, and the slide and swing will keep them entertained. The layout of the park also allows older children to create fun games, even when there is little space for running around.
The main feature of the playground is the boat, which can rock back and forth when its occupants move enough inside. This is the main drawcard for play among older children, and will likely inspire games of pirates and sailors, as the soft ground becomes the sea and the slide becomes the look out.
Parents will enjoy this spot as they can look out at the magnificent view of the beach, that can be seen from the cliff top. There is ample parking along the Esplanade, and it is serviced by the 747 and 745 buses running from Noarlunga Centre, although the position provides a great opportunity for a walk along the Esplanade. Start further south along the Espalande and use the walking path to walk or ride to the playground. The walk provides great views of the beach below, and the kids will find the playground a welcome treat at the end of the walk.
This is a small playground, but kids will love it. The equipment is kept in good condition, and nothing is too high to make it dangerous for children. It is in a fenced area so you do not need to worry about dogs on the walking path getting in the way.
