Whiteman Park and Men of the Trees are teaming up again this year to hold their annual fun, free, family environmental event, EnviroFEST , on Sunday 30th March from 10.00am - 3.00pm.

Whiteman Park , a unique recreation and conservation reserve covering nearly 4,000 hectares of natural bushland and leisure facilities in Perth's northern suburbs, is the perfect venue to host this celebration of the environment, with something for all the family. Their event partners, Men of the Trees , are a not-for-profit organisation that focuses on trees, food and communities and are responsible for planting 13 million seedlings in Western Australia since 1979.


There will be loads of eco-friendly fun for the kids, including free face painting, eco-craft activities, storytelling and a Children's Forest treasure hunt with the fairies. They'll also get to meet and greet a host of native animals such as snakes, lizards, and even a wedge-tailed eagle.


For the adults there will be an array of markets stalls offering everything from organic and native seedlings and environmentally friendly cleaning products to sustainable gardening products and renewable energy solutions. The Great Gardens Enviro Theatre will be the place to see a range of sustainability presentations, and giveaways and prizes will be up for grabs throughout the day. The action will be centred in the Village at Whiteman Park, with entry off Lord Street or Beechboro Road, Whiteman. The festival begins at 10am with activities, presentations and stalls until 3pm. Entry to EnviroFEST is free so why not make a day of it and check out some of the park's other attractions including the Village Art Gallery or Handcraft Centre , the Tractor Museum of WA , and Revolutions Transport Museum .
