ELPA, short for East London Performers Academy, is a school set up in East London, designed to provide affordable classes in Drama, Dance and Singing for 5-16 year olds.

The co-founders, Steven and Claire, are professional working Actors, passionate about both Performance and Teaching. When they moved to East London in 2009, they felt that there were few opportunities for young people in the area to express themselves creatively, and work together as a community.

They set up the academy in April 2010, designed to promote, confidence, team work, build friendships and help talent flourish. Whether your child has an interest in a performance career, or just wants to make new friends and have fun, there is a class for everyone.

They also felt that some classes that were available in more Central London, were either difficult to get to, or so expensive they were out of reach for some families. So the classes are designed to be both local and affordable, with discounts for families with several children interested in taking part.

They also offer the first class free, and take monthly payments, rather than tying parents into an expensive contract like some other schools. They also offer a token system, so if your child is ill you can re-take a class at no extra cost.

They also offer one to one classes for those looking for some extra tuition, and schedule performances of their students work through out the year.

The classes take place in both Stratford and Canning Town, with easy access to public transport.

For more information check out their website, or give either Steve or Claire a call, they are always happy to meet new members or just have a chat if you have any questions.
