When we arrived in Bayside, Melbourne, I had two key priorities; First, settle the kids into their new home and school. Second, find a yoga studio where I could take my yoga practice further and find calm whilst invigorating my body and mind.

Four months into our new Australian life I can happily say I have accomplished both! Discovering in Black Rock has given me the opportunity to not only further my practice, but also to meet some inspiring teachers and yogis who form part of their yoga community.

The stunning studio overlooking Half Moon Bay is welcoming and warm and has ample room and high quality mats for an intimate and invigorating class.



Elevate provides a professional yoga service ideal for those juggling work and home tasks. The ease of booking online and regular email updates from Amanda make this studio accessible and valuable to its membes.



What strikes me and impresses me most about the studio is the variety of teachers - each with their own style and techniques. This variety of personalities, yoga styles and experiences provides a platform to define your own yoga style and advance at your own pace.

If you work in the city, lessons are perfectly timed for an early start or an after work session. If, like me, you juggle life and do school drop offs - the 9.30am session is a great restart kick to your child free time and leaves you feeling set to dive into your day with positivity and energy.

For those wanting to try out something new, they also run immersion and workshops over the weekends. On 30 August they have a blindfold yoga workshop which looks great !

If you are a newbie or an experienced yogi, this studio can offer you what you need in a stunning, serene, calm environment with friendly knowledgable instructors who make time to help you progress at your personal practice.
