Just when you thought you knew everything there was to do in Adelaide, a little gem like this appears to blow you away. It's so well hidden it doesn't even have a website, you could walk right past it and not even know it was there. It's called the , a late-night dessert cafe that serves up some of the most quality treats you're ever likely to taste.

As soon as you walk through the door you know you're in for a unique experience. There is an inexplicably cool, quirky atmosphere as you're seated in secluded booths for two, four, or six people. The dim lighting and 50s style music that wafts through your cozy bamboo screens make the an ideal place to bring a date.

Once you're comfortably settled in, take a look at the menu that is sure to get your mouth watering. Sumptuous desserts of every kind are waiting to be ordered, including sticky date pudding, chocolate nut sundaes, apple crumble, and their incredible banana split. While desserts are definitely their specialty, they also offer coffee and teas from around the world, as well as a small selection of savoury dishes.



Examine the intriguingly bizarre collection of trinkets scattered around the establishment as you wait for your order to arrive (service is prompt). I say this because once it does, your dessert will require 100% of your concentration. The portions are generous, and only sweet-tooth veterans would be able to comfortably handle a Vienna coffee and the waffles-with-white-chocolate-ice-cream-and-apple-crumble in one sitting.

Doors open from 8pm, but those aware of its existence eagerly line up beforehand, so get there early. If you're after a unique experience that will really stimulate your senses (most notably taste), get on down to the Elephant Walk - you'll be glad you did.
