Sometimes, paradise can be in the most unlikely places. You wouldn't expect to find it driving along one of Sydney's busiest roads in a major industrial area right near a university, for example. Yet, that is exactly what you can expect from a visit to Eden Gardens.

Eden Gardens garden complex has everything a flora enthusiast could hope for. The beautiful display gardens, completely unrecogniseable from Ryde Road, boast a number of stunning arrangements. The dramatic central water feature provides an ideal focal point for the peaceful, picturesque surrounds.

It is easy to get swept up in the beauty of the gardens and wander around for hours. Of course, all this walking is sure to leave a person hungry. Thankfully, the complex caters for this, with high quality food and drink provided at the Dragonfly Cafe. Drop by for a coffee, a snack or a delicious meal. The cafe is located right near the entrance to the display gardens so there is never any need to stop enjoying the view.

Once the day is done, it can be difficult to leave all this horticultural beauty behind. A visit to the Eden Gardens shop ensures that you don't have to. Pick up any plants and garden supplies you could hope for as you leave the complex and take this little slice of paradise home with you.

Eden Gardens also do a breakfast buffet on weekends which could be a great way to start your Sunday! (They also have a breakfast menu during the week). You can choose a continental buffet (cereal, toast, fruit, pastries etc) or the full buffet breakfast (continental plus hot food like bacon, eggs, sausages, hotcakes, etc). Can't go past an all you can eat breakfast!!
