I'm an inner-city rambler who's happy to share my best finds with you. My writing turns up in the local street press, magazines, and more. (This week's pic: flamingo stencil, Rialto shops, Hardgrave Road.)

The strange, the arcane, the esoteric, the eclectic.

You'll find it all at Ecclectica - Esoteric Books and Curiosities, which has just opened in the space that used to be Bang Doll Vintage on Boundary Street at West End.

Owners Andrea Wilkes and Lachlan Errey already had the Crystal Earth shop on nearby Russell Street, but wanted more space to properly display their extensive collection of esoteric books. With Ecclectica, they've created a red-walled parlour of books on everything from tarot to sorcery and psychic powers.

Also for sale are curiosities ranging from a full-scale suit of armour to skeletons, swords and the pictured deer skulls (which come from deer that die from natural causes).

Andrea says Ecclectica will also offer psychic readings in the near future. In the meantime, drop in, say hello and check out their wares.
