Can it taste more festive?
Black Forest Cake is one of the most sort after cakes during Christmas. It is one of my all time favourites. Now, we know it looks good, tastes creamy and awesome and costs often a little more than the rest, but how many of us have actually dared to make it?
Well, here is a step by step explanation of approaching it the simple way:-
2. Soak first piece with 1/3rd syrup. Beat cream in a bowl over ice till thick. Add icing sugar and gelatine (dissolved in 3 tbsp warm water). Fold in stiffly beaten egg white. Pour 1/4 th cream mixture onto the piece of cake, cover with some chopped cherries and grated chocolate.
3. Place next piece of cake on top,soak with 1/3rd syrup, cover with 1/4th of cream, cherries and grated chocolate. 4. Place remaining piece of cake on top, soak with syrup and cover with cream, cherries and grated chocolate. Keep in refrigerator for an hour before serving.
