Nestled away behind Streatham High Road and just steps way from Streatham Common is the Earl Ferrers, the home to what I believe is the best Sunday roast in London.

As word starts to spread about this sumptuous roast, it's become an unwritten rule to get there early and take your pick from the range of meats available. The beef is tantalising succulent and comes cooked to perfection with a huge, crispy Yorkshire pudding. Washed down with a pint of local brewed real ale and you're in business.
Following a good lunch this is the perfect watering hole to wind away the afternoon with a plethora of board games, pool table and great tunes to boot. It's a great family atmosphere but attracts people from all walks of life, so you're never going to be short of somebody to chat to. It's also worth checking out the quiz night every Wednesday, although put your thinking cap on otherwise the locals will put you to shame.
It says 'Food, Booze and Good Times' on the sign outside and I couldn't disagree. Get out to Streatham and enjoy this hidden gem.
