The City of Sydney is trying to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, combat global warming, and preserve natural resources with the free
E-waste Recycling Day on the 6th of December.
Electronic waste such as computers, mobile phones, TV sets, and DVD players contain hazardous material which can cause irreparable environmental and human harm when not disposed of properly. E-Waste recycling day allows you to drop off your unwanted electronica for recycling. To help the city in this worthy cause check out the
list of items you can recycle on this day. Be sure to bring your ID and proof of address while dropping off your items.
The collection centre will be at Bay Street depot in Ultimo (corner of Bay and Macarthur Street) on 6th of December 2009 between 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. If you are bringing small or easy-to-carry items, walk, cycle or take public transport to reduce congestion and carbon emissions.
