It's a domain that, in the past, used to be delegated only to tradies and home handymen. Early weekday mornings would see a collection of work utes and trucks situated out the front of various hardware stores across the country, as men discussed the finer points of home maintenance and construction.



But over recent years- with the growing popularity of home renovation shows- there has been a surge of interest from the ladies, wanting to put their own spin on the home decoration front. Nowadays, you'll often find just as many women trawling the aisles of your local hardware store, as they select paint swatches and investigate the pros and cons of using a sanded grout as opposed to a non-sanded grout for their tiling project.

While the interest is there, it can sometimes be difficult to know whether you're buying the right equipment or materials for the job you are undertaking, so it's always helpful to speak to someone who knows what they're doing. And what better way to learn some of the tips of the trade than to attend a special night where information is supplied in a steady stream by some of the experts of the field?



On Wednesday 25 February (from 6.30pm until 8pm), Drysdale Home Timber & Hardware will be holding a special Ladies Night, where attendees have the opportunity to learn everything they ever wanted to know about DIY projects and home maintenance. Along with a glass of champagne on arrival, you will receive a vast collection of DIY tips and be able to view presentations from some of the biggest brand names in the industry, including Yates , Dulux , Selleys and many more. There will also be plenty of information available on various topics, including gardening, painting, power tools and landscape design.



If you're very much a do-it-yourself kind of gal, want to add a little more to your skillset and wouldn't mind a glass of bubbly in the company of some like-minded women, then this free information night is the one for you!
