Dr Sketchy's Anti Art School

Home > Things to do in Sydney > Art | Courses
Published January 17th 2011
In 2005, Brooklyn illustrator Molly Crabapple asked a pretty obvious question; why can't drawing naked people be fun and sexy? Five years later, Doctor Sketchy's Anti Art School is providing a unique brand of drawing class all around Australia.

The Anti-Art School is a cheeky event that combines life drawing classes with burlesque and cabaret performances. Participants first enjoy an act by a dancer or other type of performer (such as a contortionist or trapeze artist) and sketch the model in between breaks. Prizes are awarded to participants throughout the night.

This event takes place at Glass Bar and Restaurant (420 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley) on the first Tuesday of the month from 8.00pm.
