In 2005, Brooklyn illustrator Molly Crabapple asked a pretty obvious question; why can't drawing naked people be fun and sexy? Five years later,
Doctor Sketchy's Anti Art School is providing a unique brand of drawing class all around Australia.
The Anti-Art School is a cheeky event that combines life drawing classes with burlesque and cabaret performances. Participants first enjoy an act by a dancer or other type of performer (such as a contortionist or trapeze artist) and sketch the model in between breaks. Prizes are awarded to participants throughout the night.
This event takes place at
Glass Bar and Restaurant (
420 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley) on the first Tuesday of the month from 8.00pm.
