Double Bay Growers Markets

Published February 18th 2009
The Double Bay Growers Markets are back for 2009 this Saturday the 21st of February in Guilfoyle Park, Double Bay.

Held on the 3rd Saturday of every month (except January) from 9am to 1pm, the markets play host to a large array of producers hawking seafood, seasonal fruit and veg, cheeses, breads, olives, plants, and rest of the usual market fare.

It's located on the corner of Guilfoyle Ave and Bay St.

A great way to get to the market is to catch a ferry to the Double Bay wharf, and then walk up Bay St.

If you've not spent much time in Double Bay before it's a lovely area of Sydney to visit with lots of fashion shopping on Knox St (right next to the market) along with more that its share of great cafes and eateries and posh houses to gawk at.

If it's a nice day there is also Redleaf Pool (here is a picture) to go for a swim. It's netted so you don't have to worry about those pesky sharks who seem to be getting ideas above their station.

Why? A great excuse to check out Double Bay.
