Sunday the 30th of August 2015 from 10am to 5pm is a special one for the
Docklands Sunday Market . This variety market of around 40 plus stalls will be a part of Melbourne's 180th birthday celebrations at Victoria Harbour Promenade, Docklands. Usually at New Quay Promenade, the market will on 30 August set up along Harbour Esplanade, south of the Cow Up a Tree sculpture, to be closer to the Melbourne Day Concert stage (at Water Plaza).
This variety market in the heart of Melbourne's newest tourist hub will be bigger and better with more food vendors and features arts, craft, crystals, recycled goods, kids clothes, soft toys, jewellery, pearls, art, photography, lady's fashion, wraps, handmade soy candles, soap, cards, second hand books, sweets, coffee, artisan fresh bread, liquorish coffee, mini donuts, fair trade and locally made products and lots more.
While there you can witness the arrival of the tall ship Enterprize (a replica of the original first tall ship) and the blessing of the fleet by Father Bob at 12 noon on board VIP vessel. MV Lonsdale alongside.
The free Melbourne Day concert proudly sponsored by Gold 104.3 with Brig and Lehmo will have Aussie music legends Russell Morris and Daryl Braithwaite headlining. The concert also features the Pierce Brothers, Jack and Pat, who return home for their first appearance after a world tour. Soli Tesema will perform 'Halo, her signature cover of Beyonce's pop ballad. She'll also perform 'Melbourne Our Town' which has been specially written for the concert.

Pevan the Tiger and Sarah - children's show.
Open Door Singers / Docklands Community Choir
Gold104.3 FM live broadcast with hosts Gavin Miller and Stick Mareebo.
A Welcome to Country by Auntie Di, elder of the Wurundjeri people, an 11.50am ceremony.
Didgeridoo performances by Stan 'Yarramunua' Dryden, renowned Aboriginal artist and performer.

When you ask? Noon to 5pm. (Pierce Brothers on stage at 1pm; Soli Tesema 1.25pm; Russell Morris 1.45pm; Daryl Braithwaite 2.30pm), at the Water Plaza on Victoria Harbour Promenade, Docklands (Merchant St, near the Library at the Dock). The Docklands cafes, bars and restaurants will also be a part of these celebrations by offering specials.
