If you've a penchant for pooches then this might get your tail wagging: the
Discover Dogs show is back for another year of canine conviviality!
For two days at London's Earls Court, all manner of mutt-related matters will be taking place, including a gathering of more than 200 breeds for you to enjoy. If you're thinking about getting your own dog, this'll be a great opportunity to meet breeders and learn more about the dogs you're interested in.
Special events include the Scruffts Grand Final (the crossbreed dog of the year final, following countrywide heats), fun competitions, a display of the winning entries of the 2010 Dog Photographer of the Year Contest, dazzling demonstrations by dogs showing off their agility and all-round cleverness, and lots of chances for you to get up close and personal with a vast arrange of breeds.
A number of trade exhibitors will also be present, offering pet pampering toys and various accessories.
Discover Dogs actively encourages responsible dog ownership and this worthy theme will manifest itself in the
new seminar area where guest speakers will be talking about the best way to ensure your canine has a happy life. The seminars will also include information on what to look for when buying a puppy, a Q&A about embarrassing pet illnesses, and tackling the problem of obesity (in dogs, not people!).

Anyone under 12 can get into the show for free – and there's loads of fun things to keep the kids entertained. For starters, there's the Young Kennel Club Ring, where you can team up with a dog to run it through an obstacle course. And don't forget to meet Rufus, the Young Kennel Club mascot.
