Dim sum is very popular in Perth - there is always a wait, no matter where you go for dim sum in Perth, particularly on Sundays.

Here is a little tip for all of you - it is best to reach your chosen dim sum restaurant at around 10am or 11am. Most Chinese restaurants finish serving dim sum at around 3pm.

Since I am from Hong Kong, I would like to share some of my favourite dim sum Chinese restaurants in Perth.

1) Dragon Palace
One of the biggest Chinese restaurants in Perth with two levels. Seating isn't too cramped. The dim sum is good and up to standard. Personally recommend prawn dumplings.

2) Northbridge Chinese Restaurant (六福)
They have more seafood dim sum compared to other Chinese restaurants. Next to it is CPP car park and Wilson car park, which is very convenient for people who had their own transport. Personally recommend deep fried soft shell crabs and deep fried crab claw.

26 Roe Street Northbridge WA 6003.

3) Hinz Chinese Seafood Restaurant
For dim sum lovers, Hinz offers dim sum at dinner time. The interior of the restaurant is nice. Prices are reasonable around $4.5 a serve.

Why? Perth's best dim sum restaurants

Between Northbridge Chinese Restaurant and the Wilson parking is Regal on Roe Restaurant (20 Roe St) which also serves dim sum. Judging from the number of people queueing in front of it on weekend mornings, it is not as popular as Northbridge Chinese Restaurant. However, if you don't fancy standing around on the sidewalk while waiting for a table to be available, then you might want to try Regal on Roe. The food's ok and you've got to eat your dim sum sooner and in peace, without feeling rushed by the queue.

Agreed with Northbridge Chinese. Have been going there since it was called Chous teahouse 12 years a go, still amazing
