Imagine for a moment that you are in dire need for a great cup of coffee. You don't want to hurt anyone with your colourful mood but dire does mean desperate. Where do you go? What do you do?

Firstly do NOT panic instead (calmly) head to Wellington Point and ask Dan for a cup of Delamauta coffee and before long all will be right with the world. I know what you are thinking… I just saved your life. You are welcome.

Delamauta is easy to find, located at 8/381 Main Road at Wellington Point. It's a small café with a clean, black and white pallet. A graffiti wall by local artist Benjie gives the café that little extra bit of cool.

You can see the roasting machine at the back where the coffee is made while you sip the final product and enjoy the various pastries, cakes and muffins available.

I particularly enjoyed the banana bread with espresso butter. Between you and me I love that we live in a world where espresso butter exists, YUM!

The store hasn't been opened for long but has already acquired a loyal base of locals. It's not really surprising since Dan and his sister Elisha greet everyone with a smile and engage in friendly conversation with ease.

I found that Delamauta not only supply other cafés with their coffee but they also make a variety of fine teas. These include Lemon Myrtle with Berries, Marsala Chai and Lemon Grass with Ginger tea.

They are open Tuesday through to Sunday from 7am to midday. If you are in the Wellington Point area pop in and try one of their handcrafted coffees or teas. I genuinely enjoyed my coffee(s) and oh did I mention the espresso butter?
