Would you like to challenge yourself to run or walk part or all of the 110km Darkness to Daylight Challenge?

This event on the 6th and 7th of May at the Southbank Cultural Forecourt is raising awareness and much needed funds to support the work of Australia's CEO Challenge to end violence in our homes. All funds raised will support primary prevention initiatives in our workplaces as well as to support our communities' domestic violence services.

%%"Domestic violence is an issue that affects many in our community who often suffer in isolation and darkness. But there is daylight at the end of the tunnel with the help provided by organisations like Australia's CEO Challenge as well as the businesses and refuges that get involved in its programs.

This is your opportunity to get involved in raising awareness of the issue and funds for Australia's CEO Challenge in a meaningful and effective way. The Darkness to Daylight Challenge is not just a run to raise money – the run itself symbolises the cause (110km from darkness into daylight is 1km for every person killed as a result of domestic violence) and carries the message that violence in families (or anywhere) is not okay."%% - Robert Reed, Founder of #d2dchallengerun and Special Counsel at Minter Ellison. Rob will be running all night with his colleagues and friends.

Last year 280 runners and walkers carried the message that domestic violence is not okay and raised $20,000 for Australia's CEO Challenge to help:
  • Train over 1,000 people to Recognise, Respond and Refer.
  • 945 women and 1,275 children fleeing from violent homes.
  • Implement 14 workplaces with policies to keep staff employed when affected by domestic violence.
  • 46,000 employees by violence proofing their workplace.

  • Get involved this year and make a real difference to your community!
