It was a dark and gloomy night, just the sort of night we should be at home and tucked up tight! But, we're not. We're out and about experiencing Dark Lake, a unique and truly haunting interactive horror performance. I believe that we all, whether consciously or subconsciously, have some sort of fascination with the macabre, the unknown, the grisly.
Well, brace yourselves Sunny Coasters for the thrill of a lifetime. Weird things are going on at Dark Lake. People go missing, you hear voices, you see strange things. Nobody knows what is causing the pervasive air of menace around Dark Lake. Stories abound of hauntings and restless spirits.

Dark Lake is a throbbing interactive theatre experience unlike anything you've experienced before. After entering a darkened waterside at night, Dark Lake participants will find themselves unexpectedly invited to a little girl's birthday party. Sounding mediocre? Don't be deceived, you will soon discover that the twisting pathways of Dark Lake promise that no party at this menacing and threatening place can be anything other than a nightmare.
Dark Lake is a walk-around performance, where small groups move through the story at a time. Audience groups encounter actors spaced throughout the performance area, who will construct the story around, and inclusive of, the audience.
With only six shows on the Sunshine Coast and strictly limited audience numbers, wannabe ghouls will have to be super quick.- Tickets can be booked online here. Please note that Dark Lake is only for audiences of fifteen years and older.

"Where exactly is this frightening Dark Lake?", I hear you ask. At a secret location in the Metro Sunshine Coast. Once thrill-seekers have purchased their tickets, a map and ticket pack will be emailed for your nightmarish night to remember.
An Important Note to Participants: When booking, you will receive your very own starting time that is just for you and your guests. Should your group be larger than six participants, your group will be asked to separate and will be given consecutive start times, ten minutes apart. Due to the unique nature of the Dark Lake experience, participants must arrive on time as latecomers will not be admitted.
We went to it tonight! It was a good concept, but it wasn't very scary at all & it only went for about 30 mins. It wasn't worth the money, though! I think going out to Aussie World for the day would have been better fun & more thrilling & better value for ð° money! I must be turning into an old fart, LoL. We'll have to do that next time Sharon, we'll take you there! ð
