"Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again…"With those famous opening lines Daphne du Maurier created 'Rebecca', one of the worlds' most widely read and beloved classic Gothic love stories.Harbour Theatre is proud to bring this classic story to the stage this June for a strictly limited season.Playing at the Mosman Park Memorial Hall (a.k.a. Camelot Theatre) from Friday 12th to Saturday 20th of June, 2015, this exciting production will be directed by the award-winning Nicola Bond.Daphne du Maurier's popular stage version of her own classic novel 'Rebecca', was revised by Clifford Williams in 1990 and loses none of the romance, tension and atmosphere of the original.
In the gothic romance, Maxim de Winter's second wife is slowly piecing together her husband's tragic and unhappy marriage to his first wife, the beautiful but treacherous Rebecca.Featuring Vickie Billingham as Mrs Danvers, Mark de Vattimo as Maxim de Winter and Natasha Stiven as Mrs de Winter, 'Rebecca' is the perfect way to spend a cold winter's night.
