There's just some days you have to have curry delivered to your door. And if you live around the northern end of George Street, you can't go past
Curry at The Rocks, located on Kent Street in a heritage listed federation block opposite the iconic
Lord Nelson pub.

We had overseas visitors when we last ordered delivered takeaway from Curry at the Rocks, and it was a success. Delivery within the CBD is free for orders over $40. Delivery is relatively slow compared to other CBD restaurants, though the butter chicken hit the right notes. My personal favourite was the lentil daal.
In a not usually busy street, Curry at the Rocks gets some well-heeled business from the Observatory Hotel just a few doors down as well as from the deep-pocketed regular restaurant-going gentry who live in swish apartment blocks in the precint. It helps that there are established pubs around, especially the Lord Nelson. Pricing value is average for the city, with mains starting from $16.50. A banquet is on offer for $40 per person including starters, curries, rice, sides and desserts (drinks and coffee are extra). For the area, this is good value. Try it for yourself on a Saturday night out. Make sure you book on busy nights.
The Sydney Theatre and Dance companies are nearby on
Hickson Road, and the obvious delights of The Rocks nightlife on your doorstep.
The Millers Point bus will take you direct to the restaurant's door.
