New movie theatres are great. They're modern, have all the amenities, have huge sound systems and the latest movies.
Having said all this, there's nothing quite like the nostalgia of an old movie theatre. The glamour of a bygone era, the memories held within the walls.
I can't think of a better place to sit back, relax and watch some cult classics.
Over the coming weeks The Capri Theatre at Goodwood is hosting a range of double features that shouldn't be missed.
Looking for something different to do this Father's Day? Why not head to the Capri for some 70s action with
Bullitt and
Dirty Harry ? (screening Sunday, 6 September at 2pm)
If the 70s isn't your thing, why not try the 80s with two movie not to be missed,
Back to the Future and
Back to the Future II (screening Sunday, 25 October 2015 at 2pm).
Or, looking for a way to spook yourself on Halloween without making much of an effort?
Night of the Living Dead and
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (screening Saturday, 31 October at 9pm) might just be the answer.
The Capri is quite old - first opening its doors back in 1941 - you never know... you might just spot a ghost or two? Maybe take a toilet buddy to watch out. Who knows what could be lurking when you open that toilet door?
Tickets are currently on sale for $15 per person for each double feature and can be purchased from the
