Mivida Wellness invites you to feel the rhythm of the Cuban-salsa with their upcoming Cuban Salsa Dance Course.Taking place over four fun-filled weeks, this Beginners & Intermediate course is ideal for men and women of all skill levels. You are welcome to partake in the course with or without a partner and the weekly classes will be held at the Judith Wright Centre.Cuban-style salsa, also known as Casino, is a form of salsa dance that originated in Cuba. A popular social dance, "Casino" is often performed by couples in the streets of Cuba's cultural centres such as Havana or Santiago de Cuba.In this course, Johnny and Jo Anne will show you the basic combinations and steps for dancing with a partner or a group (Rueda de Casino).Held in a social and encouraging atmosphere, this course is ideal for those who are new to the Cuban-salsa, as well as intermediate Cuban dancers who want to learn new movements.It's a fantastic way to meet new like-minded people and be fit and active this summer.The course is divided into four 90 minute classes: Week 1-3: Friday 9th, Friday 16th, Friday 23rd of January 2015 6PM: Cuban Salsa Beginners7.30PM: Cuban Salsa IntermediateWeek 4: Saturday 31st of January 20155PM: Cuban Salsa Beginners6.30PM Cuban: Salsa Intermediate.Bookings are essential - click here to register your interest.
