This year's Chinese New Year celebrations are bigger and better. Crossing Boundaries – A Celebration of Contemporary Asian Australian Art is an exhibit on display as part of the celebrations of Chinese New Year.

It is a range and depth of relationships and artistic exchange that exists between Australia and Asia.

There is a diverse amount of amazing art work on display ranging from painting, sculpture, photography, multimedia, performance, installation and ceramics.

The artwork of the artists reflects the individual journeys taken, boundaries crossed, and new territories explored. There are many participating artists that bring their journey into a beautiful masterpiece or art.

Also on exhibit is the original oil painting Safety & Peace in Four Seasons, the stunning artwork by Chinese Australian Hu Ming (it is featured on the banners throughout the city for this year's festival).

The exhibition also includes lively daily floor talks and artist forums.

The festival exhibition is held from 22 January 2014 to 9 February 2014 from 12pm-8pm. It is located in Town Hall and there is easy public transport access to the exhibition. If you arriving here by train, the station to get off is Town Hall, there are also frequent bus services to Town Hall.

This is definitely something different to see and experience this Chinese New Year.
