Crocodile Lounge's trivia night. Every Wednesday beginning at 8pm, the host at this popular lounge dishes questions in categories such as current events, music, and television.
Best of all, it doesn't cost a penny to play and the drinks are on the cheap side for Manhattan. (And since no one likes to guzzle on an empty stomach, every drink comes with a free personal pan pizza.) Considering the prize is a generous bar tab, winners come out way, way on top.
Pay close attention to the bartender's "shot questions," which she awards to whomever is the loudest and most correct.
Helpful hint: If you want a seat, arrive early. The place gets packed by 7:30.
