When you read the comic strips in the newspaper, do you ever think, "I can do better than this?" You're not alone. Anyone can create their own comic strip. It doesn't matter if you don't have the drawing skills, cause that's what the internet is for!

There are literally thousands of comic strip creating websites available to you on the world wide web. The following are some of the easiest to use. They're also copyright free, which means you can post the finished product on your website or blog.

Read Write Think is hosted by the International Reading Association and is incredibly easy to use. Creators can make a one, two, three or six strip comic.

Make Beliefs Comix creates three panel comics and can be accessed in a half dozen different languages. Users have a good selection of different characters at their disposal in a simple drag and drop format.

Stripcreator is also a three panel comic strip creator. This one is a little more difficult to use, but there are many more design options.

Story Creator 2 is part of the educational Myths and Legends site, but that doesn't mean that your story has to be educational! This site is recommended for longer comics; you can create up to ten chapters and the character and background options are very good.
And for a web based comic, Toondoo helps authors create flash animations. Toondoo requires registration before use and is the hardest of these sites to use.

So get online and get creating!
