There are a few things I love more than Cray-fishing, Star Wars being one of them and my wife. It is a great pastime that helps you relax and unwind after a long week, I stumbled upon Woori Yallock Creek while looking for a good spot to cast my net.

The creek is located on Parslows Road, there is a small parking area at the bridge (near the Yellingbo name board). Once you've parked, gather your stuff and walk along the bank Since it has tall grass, I recommend wearing thick pants, and if possible some gaiters.

Keep walking along the bank of the creek until you come to a place that looks like the trees have created a dome (pictured below); it's beautiful how the course of nature gave birth to this dome. It's a great spot for a picnic too.

I was quite surprised when I saw my first catch of the day, a Lamington Spiny Crayfish. They are unique because they are blue in colour. The cray was carrying eggs so I placed her back in the water. Remember it's all about patience and enjoying your time in nature. I spend time outdoors because it frees me from concern. Also don't forget to purchase your fishing licence and adhere to bag catch limits & size restrictions.
