If you're in search of some free and fascinating family attractions in Singapore , then make a trip out to Sentosa Island. The waterfront area of Resort World Sentosa is home to the Crane Dance.

This 10 minute light and sound show features two 30-metre tall steel cranes moving to a music soundtrack and kaleidoscope of colour. The concept is the brainchild of multiple-Emmy award winner Jeremy Railton who also choreographed the opening ceremony of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games and concerts for the late Michael Jackson.

The Crane Show holds the current title of 'the largest animatronic show in the world'. The storyline is simply about 2 steel cranes falling in love and transforming into real cranes through animation. The main attractions are the dazzling lights, water displays, animations and pyrotechnics at the end.

Seating in the open-air amphitheatre is on the steps facing the show stage. Ushers are available to help everyone find a seat and get the show started by 8pm. There aren't many free attractions in Sentosa so sit back, relax and enjoy this one.
