From the first Craft Market event held in the Red Hill Mechanics Hall in 1975, Craft Markets Australia has embraced the initial concept of a place to sell or barter homemade, cooked or grown produce with remarkable success.
Branded a 'feel good' market by those who attended, Craft Market events have included everything from chooks to manure, flowers and food. To date, the Mornington Racecourse Market attracts over 300 stallholders, making it one of the most popular markets on the Mornington Peninsula.
There are now eight Craft Markets held throughout the year, with each offering a diverse range of interesting and unusual products. Adhering to the philosophy of Fresh, Good Value and Great Quality, visitors will find everything from woodcrafts to custom made bar furniture, jewellery to clothing, birdhouses, children's furniture, clay and pottery creations, gourmet food, engraved stones, handmade soaps and cosmetic products, candles, stained glass, educational toys, pet merchandise and ever so much more.
