Each Saturday morning at 8am, runners line up at Cottesloe beach adjacent to Forrest Street for their weekly parkrun. parkrun is a free, weekly, timed 5km event which is available for runners, walkers, families and more, designed to welcome new and old runners alike.

Cottesloe parkrun has now been running for just over two years (their anniversary was on the 15th of April), and people travel weekly to WA's sandiest parkrun because yes, 300m of the course is run on Cottesloe dog beach.

With kind volunteers, Indian Ocean views, puppies galore and a wide, accommodating run path, this is one of WA's nicest running trails and facilitation by parkrun Australia is always maintained to a high standard. Also, if you're lucky, the photographer will get an okay action shot of you too.

Cottesloe parkrun starts at 7:50am every Saturday morning, rain, hail or shine.
