I write, read, travel, garden, renovate, work, drink coffee - all the usual things. My lovely partner often accompanies me, and of course my constant companions, two feisty terriers, are never far from my side. We live in and enjoy South Australia.

Spencer Gulf sailing and boating Mecca, Copper Coast Marina
View from a yacht, approaching the Copper Cove Marina Tavern and Apartments
Copper Cover Marina is popular with sailors, visitors, tourists, and both recreational and commercial fishing. Seen here the Marina Tavern, (Wallaroo Coopers Alehouse), adjoins the Marina Apartments. Past them we see a small number of privately owned waterfront townhouses. All this reflected in the gentle ripples of the blue water of Spencer Gulf entering the marina channel.
This image might be mistaken for a 'concept image' but I assure you I shot this photo while crewing on a small (7m) yacht belonging to a local sailor. Some days on the water are perfect. If you were to continue past the view of this photo, you would see the marina basin with motor boats, catamarans and yachts tied at their pontoons.

Seems like you like Wallaroo.. I do as well..been going there since about 1948...have seen it change / develop...now becoming a top tourist destination...always imagined it would. In the second photo there is a huge house..looking large enough to be a palace...I have not been up that way for a couple of years now..like the Alehouse on the Marina..hope to go back this year and take a look at the new swimming enclosure...wondering if the land previously occupied by the smelters on the hill side overlooking the bays has now been subdivided...I imagine this will become prime real estate.
