Chadstone Shopping Centre's
Masterclass series in February. Each class focuses on one dish, which is taught by an expert provided from one of Chadstone's numerous gourmet eateries.
Create an edible garden in 'The Magic of Food' Masterclass.
There are twelve one-hour classes to choose from, each run once only from Friday the tenth of February to Sunday the twelfth. There are plenty of different cuisines represented in the Masterclasses. Italian cuisine classes include a risotto class from
Wheel & Barrow and an antipasto platter class from
Sette Bello. Learn Spain's national dish, paella, from
Simon Johnson, or attend a Chinese San Choi Bao class presented by the
Oriental Teahouse.
Sweet and creative classes include a cake decorating session from
Matchbox, and two chocolate craft classes, one from Lindt and the other from
Xocolatl.
Kids can join in the cooking, with two classes put on especially for school aged children. A pizza making class presented by
Jones the Grocer introduces kids to the simple techniques behind the popular dish. For the more health-conscious, a fun workshop on creating an edible garden packed with fruit and veg is presented by
Bubble Muffin Kids Cooking Club.
Each class is well worth the cost of either $15 or $25. Not only are you taught how to make the dish, you are also provided with ingredients and a ten dollar Coles Myer gift card.
