Choose-your-own-adventure these Easter school holidays with the popular 'Convict Escapades', an immersive experience like no other at Hyde Park Barracks Museum, Sydney.
Taking place from Friday 21st to Monday 24th April 2017, Convict Escapades will see families travel back to 1836 and assemble at Sydney's original convict barracks. Over 90 fun-filled minutes, families will come face-to-face with colourful convict characters as they work their way through the convict system to earn their prized 'ticket of leave'.
Expect to take orders from the nasty superintendent, meet the lovesick cook, be tricked by the convict 'magpie' in his clown like suit, and avoid being punished by the shifty scourger.
With fascinating stories to hear, a court trial to attend, 'tattooing', and fun jobs to do, you'll have to keep your wits about you to earn your freedom in time.
Surprises await you throughout the buildings and courtyard – be prepared for a fantastically fun convict caper! Convict Escapades is designed for children aged 6 to 12 years and a supervising adult must be present at this event.
