Are you a creative business owner, artist or freelancer wanting to boost your practise, but not sure where to start? The is an intensive one-day course that covers some of the essentials of running an arts business, and may be just the thing you're looking for.

The short course will provide an overview of the skills you need and the things you can be doing to grow or start your creative business or arts practice. Whether you're already running an arts practice or thinking of starting one, this course will help you find your way in the complicated world of arts marketing.



Topics covered include learning to define what you do, talk confidently about your arts business and make your offerings enticing to an audience. You'll also find out about the practical tools and necessary skills to help grow your business. Discover how to reach your audience and market your creative idea, service or product.

Each participant will complete a survey before the workshop so any specific questions are answered and addressed on the day. The ultimate goal is to walk away with the new skills and knowledge to move forward in your creative business or arts practice, as well as new networks and resources to help with your own professional development.



The course will be run by Amie Batalibasi, director and founder of Colour Box Studio. The studio has worked with over 300 local artists and creatives, and last year ran a series of successful DIY arts marketing workshops. Colour Box Studio also provide tailor-made mentoring services for those that want to develop their business even further.
