Weigh anchor and hoist the mizzen, ship mates. Make haste to the Coal Creek Pirate Day on Sunday 19th September 2015.

With free entry to the Coal Creek Historical Village, shiver me timbers, why wouldn't ye come in search o' some treasure?

Better come shipshape, because there's prizes for the best dressed pirates in the under 12 years category and open age group, so those scallywags you call parents can join in the fun, too.

Store up your doubloons (coins), 'cause you'll need a gold coin to buy ye treasure map and $2 for a boat you can decorate and set sail upon the lake.

Coal Creek is located at 12 Silkstone Road, Korumburra (Cnr South Gippsland Hwy). This living museum is open Thursday to Monday throughout the year, and every day during school holidays, 10am to 4.30pm daily and entry is FREE (excluding special event days).

Take a picnic; there are BBQ facilities available in the car park next to the playground, or enjoy a meal at the licensed Pig and Whistle Café.

For more information about Coal Creek and Pirate Day, please refer to their website, Facebook Page and my previous article about Coal Creek here.
