Jake Dennis is able to bring the sounds of the great singers, known at the
"Rat Pack" from the 1960's to todays audiences.
Singing the same songs as sung by the likes of Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr, Jake, with his backup band,
The Mint Jazz Band , truly tells a story from that era. The connection between songs is about life and love, and his onstage love is ably represented by Natasha Dawson, as he sings Mrs Jones to her. He even has the look of Frank Sinatra, in his black velvet tuxedo and fedora hat.
The audience gave 100% attention to Jake while he went through some of the most popular songs from Fly Me to the Moon, a old romantic favourite to Lady is a Tramp, Summer Wind and especially Mr Bojangles.
It is easy to see why Jake and his band are so poular with many audiences, as he gets them involved in the act, by having them clicking their fingers as he sings Beyond the Sea.
His encore song Route 66 finished off a great evening of entertainment, again with the audience singing the chorus, Get your kicks...
