Writing on the Steps @ City Square

The Occupy Melbourne movement has dwindled from last year's explosive headlines, to just a few protesters that remain in City Square.

They make their presence felt by writing ideological snippets on the ground nearby, to make passers-by think about the movement. This quote, "We destroy what is most valuable in order to produce what we don't need", is written on the steps on the Collins Street end of City Square.

Whether your sympathies lie with or against the movement, or if you're simply puzzled by their actions, their philosophy, as embodied by the changing chalk scrawls, is certainly something worth contemplating as you walk through the city.
