City Hall Restoration Tour

Home > Things to do in Melbourne > Tours
Published January 24th 2011
Brisbane's iconic City Hall (King George Square, 157 Ann Street, Brisbane) was closed down in 2010 in order to restore and repair the heritage listed building. The building will re-open in 2012, but members of the public can take a sneak peak now by booking a City Hall Restoration Tour.

City Hall Tour Guides will take participants on a virtual tour of the first stage of reconstruction. Documentary footage shows visitors through the building, including parts that have never before been seen by the public such as the building's basement and inside the domed ceiling. After the video, visitors will be given a quick look at a section of the actual work being done.

Bookings for this tour are essential and can be made by contacting the Brisbane City Council by phone (call 3403 8888) or through the website.
