Cinque at King Street Newtown is no doubt in a convenient locale right next to the Dendy Cinemas; yet this establishment has paved the way for some mixed reviews. It has been an observation of mine from friends who have commented on the whole experience of this establishment, although I have found the establishment to be quite good.
The service is quite friendly, although it can be a little inconsistent on the coffee in particular. One minute my coffee tastes the way it should and the next minute some of my coffee has made it onto the saucer. Never mind.
Their desserts are designed for those sweet tooths at heart. Even if you call yourself a chocaholic; the acid test well and truly comes alive at this establishment as the chocolate is quite rich and strong on their desserts. I keep away from their desserts, yet any of their snacks, such as the pasta and any of their breakfast items are worth eating and enjoying. Hearty and filling food, and it is so impressive to see a small establishment such as this one present an abundant menu where the challenge lies in what to choose. No wonder this establishment is quite busy, and if you have to wait for a table, you usually don't have to wait for too long.
